(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by the Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) Gas that crews will be installing a gas main on Springdale Road in Cherry Hill from Monday, Jan. 21 until Wednesday, Jan. 23. During this time, Springdale Road will be closed between Kresson Road and Route 70.
“Please allow yourself extra time to reach your destination if your route includes the stretch of Springdale Road where crews are expected to be active,” Shin Angulo said. “Anytime a project requires the closure of a roadway you can expect sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and other changing conditions in the area surrounding construction. Motorists should be extra careful when approaching and driving through the construction area.”
From Jan. 21 to Jan. 23, crews will be active between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. During this time, the affected stretch of roadway will be closed to all traffic, and the Cherry Hill Police Department will be on site to assist in the direction of traffic. A detour plan has not yet been determined, but will be posted at a later date.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of work hours on Wednesday, Jan. 23. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
