Provides 1 to 14-day advance curb-to-curb transportation to people with disabilities. This service is the Americans with Disabilities Act paratransit service which is comparable to the local accessible fixed route bus service. Requires in-person assessment for eligibility determination.

Municipal Transportation

Fifteen Municipalities directly provide bus transportation to senior citizens and disabled residents of their municipality. This transportation is provided through the cooperation of the Camden County Board of Commissioners, the Camden County Office of Consumer Services for the Disabled and municipal funds. PATCO Reduced Fare Program

Any one 65+ years of age or older or disabled may ride the PATCO Speedline during specified times for half fare. Cannot be used during the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. or between the hours of 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.. Tickets may be purchased at the Transportation Center at Broadway and Mickle Boulevard, Camden.

Application for State I.D. Cards for half fare on intra-state or inter-state buses for those 62-64 years of age are available at the Camden County Division of Senior Services. Those 65+ years and older use their Medicare Card. The identification card will be sent to you through the mail from New Jersey Transit. These cards entitle you to ride, during specified hours, anywhere in the State, for half fare. Handicapped persons that do not possess a Medicare Card must request an application by mail.

Provides paratransit services to senior citizens 60+ and disabled residents of Camden County for a variety of purposes including:

EMPLOYMENT TRANSPORTATION

is provided to a variety of job training programs and sheltered workshops in Camden County. Transportation is currently available to the Occupational and Training Center, The Abilities Center, Bestwork Industries and various job sites of the Senior Aides Employment program.

NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION

provides door-to-door rides to doctor offices, hospitals and other medical facilities. Non-Emergency medical rides are currently available anywhere in Camden County, to borderline communities in connecting counties and to major medical facilities in Center City Philadelphia. Funding provided through the Camden County Division of Senior Services and N J Transit.

NUTRITION

provides daily transportation to various Camden County Nutrition project sites, the Audubon location of Neighborhood Assistance, the Archway Senior Center in Haddon Heights and the Camden County Social Day Center at Lakeland.

PERSONAL BUSINESS TRANSPORTATION

is available for personal business-type requests in Camden County on a pre-reserved basis. This service may either be provided on an individual basis or grouped with other clients going to the same location. Clients may request transportation for a variety of requests including nursing home/hospital visits, banking, social security office, various agencies, etc. located in Camden County.

SHOPPING TRANSPORTATION

The Sen-Han system operates a weekly fixed route shopping service for food shopping and weekly mall shopping in 15 municipalities. This service may be used by any resident of Camden County 60+ years of age, permanently or temporarily disabled individuals. Call 856-456-3344 to inquire about the current stops in your municipality and ask to have a shopping flyer mailed to you.

VETERANS TRANSPORTATION

provides rides for veterans who are medically unable to transport themselves to the Veterans Hospital in Philadelphia.
