Roadwork in Camden County

(Lindenwold, NJ) – 

PSE&G will be working at the intersection of Maple and Union avenues in Pennsauken on Monday, Oct. 2 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be a lane shift on Maple Avenue at the intersection and a full road closure of Union Avenue between Rudderow and Maple avenues.

New Jersey American Water will be continuing a water service replacement on Kings Highway in Audubon and Haddon Heights from Monday, Oct. 2 to Friday, Oct. 6 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.  There will be a full road closure of Kings Highway between Wyoming and West Atlantic avenues.

 NJ American Water will be restoring concrete sidewalks on Wyoming Avenue in Audubon from Monday Oct. 2 to Friday, Oct. 6 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.  There will be full road closure of Wyoming Avenue between Merchant Street and Audubon Avenue.

PSE&G will be continuing conduit work on Federal and Market streets in Camden from Monday, Oct. 2 to Friday, Oct. 6.  There will be a lane shift on Federal Street between Hudson Street and Haddon Avenue, a lane shift on Market Street between North 6th and North 7th streets and a full road closure of Broadway between Market and Cooper streets between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. for day work and between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. for night work.  From Monday to Thursday between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., there will be a lane shift on Market Street between North 7th and North 9th streets.

South Jersey Gas will be continuing their gas main tie-in work on Jackson Road in Waterford Township from Monday, Oct. 2 to Thursday Oct. 5 between 7 a.m.  and 5 p.m. daily.  There will be a partial road closure westbound on Jackson Road between Richards and Atco avenues.

Crews will be continuing road and drainage improvements on Hillside Avenue in Haddon Heights from Monday Oct. 2 to Friday Oct. 6 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.  There will be a full road closure of Hillside Avenue between South Park Avenue and Kings Highway.

 

 

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway and 50 bridges.  They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
