(Camden, NJ) – With poll workers needed across the region, Gov. Phil Murphy signed an executive order Thursday increasing the pay from $275 to $300 for Election Day poll workers and increasing the hourly rate by a commensurate amount for those who work during the early voting period of Oct. 23 through Oct. 31.
“We hope this serves as an incentive to attract needed applicants to serve as poll workers this election season,” said Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. “Having enough trained workers at each local polling place is an essential element to making sure our elections continue to run smoothly and securely.”
