As part of the 104th Annual League of Municipalities Conference in Atlantic City, Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. participated in a panel discussion among local executives addressing how municipalities can effectively respond to the opioid epidemic by coordinating their efforts across multiple levels of government.
“There is not a single municipality in the state that isn’t dealing with this epidemic to some degree, and the prevailing evidence tells us that effective coordination across government leads to positive results,” Cappelli said. “In Camden County, we have effectively launched our fight against drug addiction by working with local leaders via programs like Project SAVE and others.”
Leaders from across the state will be present to learn how they can utilize similar resources to achieve a greater impact in their community.
