Franchesca Abed
2024 Camden County Prominent Hispanic Award Winner

Franchesca Abed is the owner of Ralf’s Plumbing, Heating, Electrical, and General Contractors Corp. in Camden, New Jersey. She was born in Hoboken to Maritza and Luis Delgado on August 19th, 1987. Franchesca is a proud Stockton College graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in accounting and a minor in economics, all accomplished in 3 years.

After graduation, Franchesca began as an administrative assistant at Ralf’s Plumbing, Heating, Electrical, and GC Corp. Although the recession of 2008 discouraged many recent graduates searching for employment and career opportunities, she explored new business ventures. It was then that Franchesca found her love for community development, contract negotiation, and construction.

Franchesca married Abdullah Abed in March of 2012 and has since had two beautiful children. Franchesca is currently a member of the Sacred Heart Parish Community, the President of El Centro Boriqueño Day Care, and a volunteer baseball manager for Cramer Hill Baseball.

As of May 2021, Franchesca officially owns Ralf’s, and the company became a woman – minority owned and operated construction firm. Franchesca understands the importance of construction knowledge and actively educates women homeowners in general construction and home maintenance. In her future she hopes to continue making a positive impact in the community.
