(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) is announcing five new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 37 additional cases of the disease. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 10,307 in Camden County and 574 total fatalities.

“I am extremely saddened to learn that five members of the Camden County family have lost their life due to COVID-19 in recent days. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “We are continuing to see a slight increase in our daily cases relative to where we were a week ago. I know that this pandemic has been difficult, but we have to keep fighting to protect one another and to save lives. Please continue to wear a mask when leaving your home, maintain social distance when possible, and work with our contract tracing team when they call.”
The Department of Health is announcing 37 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,398 confirmed resident cases and 578 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 10,307 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 316 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 574 total fatalities countywide.
