(Camden, NJ) – As part of the National Take Back Initiative, the Camden County Sheriff’s Department has installed a prescription medication drop box on the first floor of Camden City Hall at 520 Market Street. This initiative aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible way for people to dispose of prescription drugs.

“Ensuring the proper disposal of your unused medications is crucial to prevent them from potentially being misused or abused,” Sheriff Gilbert “Whip” Wilson said. “We encourage everyone to look in their medicine cabinet and drop off any expired or unused prescription or over the counter medications at the Sheriff’s Office in Camden.”

The drop box will be available from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday until October 28 at 10 a.m., when the box’s contents will be disposed of.
