(Cherry Hill, NJ) – The Camden County Board of Commissioners is excited to announce the return of the Summer Parks Concert Series for 2023. The concert series will enliven the green spaces throughout the 2,700 acres of parkland in the county and provide something for everyone.
“This summer will be full of fun, free, and engaging activities for our residents to enjoy,” said Commissioner Jeff Nash, liaison to the Camden County Parks Department. “Each year, we are excited to announce these events that will get our residents out of their homes and into the community to enjoy free music and company.”
Based on past research, ensuring residents have a third place to congregate outside enhances their overall health and wellness. By working with BRE Presents, the commissioners can amplify the positive impact of the Camden County Park System and create more access and opportunity for residents to utilize it.
Furthermore, the concert series makes Camden County a destination for regional visitors by providing events that invite individuals into the park system. This also provides a boost to the local economy in the same way rowing competitions do for our business community. In the past restaurants and local retailers have reported more foot traffic on concert days.
“I am excited for another spectacular year of quality performances and fun for all,” said Camden Mayor Victor Carstarphen. “I commend the Camden County Commissioners for offering free family friendly entertainment at these beautiful open spaces. I strongly encourage residents to take advantage of the summer concert series.”
