(Camden, NJ) On Thursday, the Board of Commissioners celebrated the opening of a new playground at the Ronald McDonald House of Southern NJ in Camden City. This playground is fully inclusive and will offer ADA accessible equipment for children with disabilities to have a safe place to play.

“The Ronald McDonald House is such a vital resource to so many families who have children in the hospital,” said Commissioner Deputy Director Ed McDonnell. “This playground will provide families staying at the Camden City location with a bit of normalcy and fun during a tough time. We are thrilled to be unveiling this fully accessible space for the children to enjoy and cannot wait for the kids to start using it.”

The Ronald McDonald House provides housing for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little to no cost. The Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey operates 11 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in area hospitals throughout South Jersey where families can comfortably stay with their children while they are receiving medical treatment.
