(Lindenwold, NJ) – The intersection of Church Road and Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill will close overnight this week while crews mill and pave the roadway. The project will begin tonight, Monday, September 17, at 7 p.m., and is expected to be completed by 6 a.m. on Thursday morning.
“This project will require detours and closures on different days, so motorists should make sure to be aware of how the project will affect their route on a particular night,” said Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works. “When driving through the construction area, motorists must be mindful of sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and other additional hazards.”
Beginning tonight, Monday, September 17, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the stretch of Church Road between Haddonfield Road and Mall Drive will be closed to thru traffic. Motorists will be directed along a detour route utilizing Haddonfield Road, Kaighns Avenue (Route 38), and Mall Drive to circumvent the closure. The same detour will be in place overnight on Tuesday into Wednesday.
Crews will continue working on Wednesday, September 19, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., however the project will not force closures at that time. However, several lanes will be shifted while crews are at work.
Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
