(Voorhees, NJ) – Each year during the month of September, libraries across the nation come together to celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month. During the month, the American Library Association and libraries put forth a national effort to ensure every child signs-up for their own library card.
“Having a library card comes with several benefits beyond having access to thousands of books for free,” said Commissioner Melinda Kane, liaison to the Camden County Library System. “With a library card, you not only support your local library branch but you unlock access to databases, online resources, movies, magazines, online courses and more. During this September, we encourage every resident to sign up for a library card.”
Established in 1921, Camden County Library System seeks to meet the recreational, informational and educational needs of its customers with locations in Camden, Bellmawr, Gloucester Township, Haddon Township, Merchantville, Winslow Township and Voorhees Township. The library is governed and supported by the Camden County Board of Commissioners and the Camden County Library Commission.
