Today, the Board of Commissioners, and the county Division of disABILITIES and Special Needs along with Weisman Sled Stars will host a sled hockey and skating day at the Winterfest Ice Skating Rink for residents. This is the first time the division will be providing this opportunity to this community in Camden County.
Weisman Sled Stars is an organization comprised of children of varying ages and disabilities who play sled hockey, a sport that uses the same rules as hockey but instead of leg skating, players sit on specially designed sleds and use two short sticks to propel themselves across the ice.
