(Cherry Hill, NJ) – It is that time of the year again, as the temperatures drop, and the holidays get into full swing the county Parks Department is preparing for another winter wonderland at Cooper River Park. For our 11th year, the Board of Commissioners is excited to announce the opening of the WinterFest Ice Skating Rink for the 2024-2025 season.
WinterFest officially opens on Friday, Nov. 29, and will be open Thursday through Sunday until Feb. 23, 2025.
“This attraction always allows our residents to participate in active outdoor recreation at one of the state’s most iconic and celebrated parks, Cooper River Park,” said Commissioner Jeffrey Nash, liaison to the Camden County Parks Department. “It is our hope that the Camden County community can enjoy ice skating and have some fun with their friends and loved ones. We cannot wait to welcome our neighbors back to WinterFest this season as we know it will be a great time.”
The 60-foot by 120-foot ice rink will return to Cooper River Park across from the DoubleTree Hotel in Cherry Hill, at the corner of North Park Drive and Cuthbert Boulevard. The park will be transformed into a winter wonderland with twinkling lights in the trees, and vendors selling food inside the lodge.
The WinterFest Ice Skating Rink at Cooper River Park will be open Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Children 3 years of age and younger will be admitted onto the ice for free. Kids 4 to 12 will be admitted for $6.50 and adult admission is $8.50. Veterans and seniors will receive a discounted admission of $5.50.
There is a $5.50 skate rental fee for all ages. Customers can also get their skates sharpened for $6.50. In addition, there is plenty of free parking around the park.
