(Voorhees, NJ) This summer, the Board of Commissioners will partner with the Museum of the American Revolution to launch Revolution at the Library, a program geared towards elementary school students and their families that educates children about the American Revolution in a fun and engaging way.
Beginning in July, museum educators will visit branches of the Camden County Library System to tell stories of the America Revolution accompanied by interactive activities.
“The American Revolution is an incredibly important piece of our nation’s history that began right here in our own backyard,” said Commissioner Melinda Kane, liaison to the library system. “Educating children on this time in history in a way that they can understand and are excited to engage in will be extremely impactful and we cannot wait to get started with this program next month.”
Locations that will feature the Museum’s programming include: William G. Rohrer Memorial Library-Haddon Township Branch, Gloucester Township Blackwood Rotary Public Library, M. Allan Vogelson Regional Branch, South County Regional Branch, Riletta L. Cream Ferry Avenue Branch and the Nilsa I. Cruz-Perez Downtown Branch
