(Camden, NJ) On Wednesday, the Board of Commissioners joined Mayor Carstarphen and Camden Strong volunteers to gather in Yorkship Square to help clean and beautify the Fairview neighborhood. The event also included a service fair featuring more than 18 city and county departments.

“Events like these are always special because it is a time where the city and county can come together with residents to make this neighborhood a nicer place to live,” said Commissioner Al Dyer. “Working in Fairview and engaging our neighbors is another opportunity to enhance and improve our community. Also, this will be a one-stop-shop for residents for almost any question they have about city or county services.”

Throughout the 2024 cleanup season, the city’s Department of Public Works will be on-site to pick up debris including large bulk trash items, Manufacturers Recycling Management Company (MRM) will be providing free electronic recycling collection and Camden residents will be able to obtain information relating to recycling, e-waste, trash disposal, and litter prevention in addition to other city programs.
