Roadwork in Camden County

(Lindenwold, NJ) –

Last night, an unmarked utility line was struck at the intersection of Route 561 and White Horse Road in Voorhees. South Jersey Gas will be working to make repairs on Wednesday, May 15 and the southbound lane will be closed throughout the duration of the day but will be open by rush hour this afternoon.   

South Jersey Gas will be milling and paving Lower Landing Road in Gloucester Township on Thursday, May 16 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Chews Landing Road and Black Horse Pike.

PSE&G will be paving two locations on West Cuthbert Boulevard in Haddon Township and Collingswood on Thursday, May 16 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. There will be a full road closure between Haddon and Stokes avenues as well as between Lakeshore Drive and Lees Lane.

 

 

“This inconvenience should only last for today, but we recommend avoiding the area due to traffic,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

 

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway and 50 bridges.  They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
