(Pennsauken, NJ) – The Spring on Tap Beer Festival set for Sunday, May 5 has been postponed due to inclement weather. A new date will be announced in the near future.
On Sunday, the Camden County Commissioners and Visit South Jersey will host the inaugural Spring on Tap Beer Festival at Veteran’s Island in Cooper River Park. The event, which runs from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., will feature local craft beers from seven participating breweries, food trucks, live music, vendors, and a performance from LeCompt, a Philadelphia based classic rock cover band.
“We are thrilled to host our first Spring on Tap Beer Festival, we just know it’s going to be a hit,” said Commissioner Jeff Nash. “We love hosting events that showcase all of the wonderful local businesses here in Camden County and Sunday will be a great opportunity to see what the region has to offer when it comes to food, drinks and shopping. Please join us for a fun day out on the Cooper River.”
The Commissioner Board is partnering with Visit South Jersey (VSJ) to host the event. Visit South Jersey is the official destination marketing organization for Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem counties, and the Outer Coastal Plain Wine Region in South Jersey. VSJ is a non-profit organization supported in part by a grant from the New Jersey Department of State, Division of Travel and Tourism.
“The fact that this inaugural beer festival for Camden County falls on Cinco de Mayo is icing on the cake,” said Michael Snyder, director of operations for Visit South Jersey. “Craft breweries are exploding in South Jersey and I can’t think of a better way to introduce visitors to their amazing brews than on the scenic banks of the Cooper River. Between the vendors, live music, and food trucks, it’s just going to be a fun-filled day outside for everyone.”
