(Lindenwold, NJ) – 

PSE&G will be installing a gas service at 1128 Mt. Ephraim Avenue in Camden on Thursday Nov. 9 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure of Mt. Ephraim Avenue between Sycamore Street and Kaighn Avenue. 

South Jersey Gas will be continuing system improvements to the gas line on Erial Road in Winslow Township from Monday Nov. 13 through Friday Nov. 17 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. There will be a full road closure on Erial Road between Wilton’s Landing and Williamstown-New Freedom roads.

PSE&G will be installing gas service on Kenilworth Avenue in Cherry Hill on Monday Nov. 13 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure of Kenilworth Avenue between Longwood and Edward avenues.

South Jersey Gas will be completing the installation of a gas main on Old Black Horse Pike and Chews Landing Road in Gloucester Township from Monday Nov. 13 to Friday Nov. 17 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. There will be a partial road closure westbound on Chews Landing Road between Old Black Horse Pike and King Street as well as a partial road closure eastbound on Chews Landing Road between the Black Horse Pike and Lower Landing Road.

Crews will continue roadway and sidewalk restorations on Nicholson Road in Gloucester City from Monday Nov. 13 to Wednesday Nov. 15 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. There will a partial road closure eastbound on Nicholson Road between University and Oxford avenues.

PSE&G will be working on Browning Road in Pennsauken and Merchantville from Monday Nov. 13 to Friday Nov. 17 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. There will be a full road closure of Browning Road between Chestnut and West Maple avenues

PSE&G will be continuing the gas main install on Ferry Avenue in Camden from Monday Nov. 13 to Friday Nov. 17 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. There will be a full road closure of Ferry Avenue between Atlantic Avenue and Jackson Street.

PSE&G Electric will be continuing conduit work on Market Street and Broadway in Camden from Monday Nov. 13 to Sunday Nov. 19. From Monday to Friday, work hours will be between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. and from Saturday to Sunday work hours will be between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. There will be lane shifts on North 5th Street between Penn and Cooper streets and on Broadway between Market and Cooper streets. From Monday to Thursday night between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., there will be a lane shift on Market Street between Broadway and 10th Street.

 

 

 

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway and 50 bridges.  They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
