Roadwork in Camden County

(Lindenwold, NJ) – 

PSE&G will be working at 212 Highland Avenue in Haddonfield on Monday Nov. 6 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure of Highland Avenue between Kent and Chesterfield roads.

New Jersey American Water will be working on Wyoming Avenue in Audubon on Monday Nov. 6, Wednesday Nov. 8, and Thursday Nov. 9 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily. There will be full road closure of Wyoming Avenue between Merchant Street and Audubon Avenue.

New Jersey American Water will be working on Haddonfield-Berlin Road in Voorhees from Monday Nov. 6 through Thursday Nov. 9. On Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, work will be done between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. and on Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. There will be a full road closure between Somerdale and White Horse roads. 

PSE&G will be continuing a gas main install on Ferry Avenue in Camden on Monday Nov. 6 and Wednesday Nov. 8 through Friday Nov. 10 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.  There will be a full road closure of Ferry Avenue between Atlantic Avenue and Jackson Street.

South Jersey Gas will be continuing system improvements to a gas line on Erial Road in Winslow Township on Monday Nov. 6 and Wednesday Nov. 8 through Friday Nov. 10 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. There will be a full road closure on Erial Road between Wilton’s Landing and Williamstown-New Freedom roads.

 South Jersey Gas will continue a gas main install on East Gibbsboro Road in Lindenwold on Monday Nov. 6 and Wednesday Nov. 8 through Friday Nov. 10 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily. There will be a partial road closure northbound on East Gibbsboro Road between the White Horse Pike and South Berlin Road.

Crews will continue roadway and sidewalk restorations on Nicholson Road in Gloucester City beginning on Monday Nov. 6 and Wednesday Nov. 7 through Friday Nov.10 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. There will a partial road closure eastbound on Nicholson Road between University and Oxford avenues.

PSE&G Electric will be continuing conduit work on Market Street and Broadway in Camden from Monday Nov. 6 through Sunday Nov. 12. On Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Thursday night, Saturday and Sunday, there will be a lane shift on Broadway between Cooper and Market streets as well as Market Street between Broadway and 6th Street. Daily work hours are between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. on weekdays, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Thursday night, and from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the weekend.

 

 

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway and 50 bridges.  They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
