(Lindenwold, NJ) – 

South Jersey Gas will be continuing a gas main tie-in and service work on Jackson Road in Waterford Township from Monday Oct.16 to Thursday Oct. 19 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. There will be a partial road closure westbound on Jackson Road between 3rd Street and Atco Avenue. 

Crews will be conducting roadway and sidewalk restorations in Gloucester City from Monday Oct. 16 to Friday Oct. 20 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.  There will a partial road closure eastbound on Nicholson Road between University and Oxford avenues.

 PSE&G will be continuing conduit work on Federal Street, Market Street and Broadway in Camden from Monday Oct. 16 to Friday Oct. 20.  From Monday to Thursday, there will be a lane shift on Broadway between Market and Federal streets between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. On Monday, there will be a lane shift on North 5th Street between Penn and Market streets between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. On Wednesday, there will be a lane shift on Cooper Street between North 5th and North 6th streets between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.  On Friday, there will be a lane shift of Cooper Street between North 6th Street and Broadway and a lane shift of Broadway between Cooper and Market streets between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Also on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, there will be lane shifts on Market Street between the Route 676 entrance ramp to Haddon Avenue between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

PSE&G will be working at 233 Hopkins Road in Haddon Township on Tuesday Oct. 17 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.  There is a partial road closure eastbound on Hopkins Road between Crystal Lake and West Greenman roads.

PSE&G will be restoring roadway on Ferry Avenue in Camden on Monday Oct. 16 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound at 1664 Ferry Avenue between Webster Street and Carl Miller Boulevard.

New Jersey American Water will be continuing water service replacements on Kings Highway in Audubon and Haddon Heights from Monday Oct. 16 to Friday Oct. 20 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.  There will be a full road closure of Kings Highway between Edgewood and Wyoming avenues.

NJ American Water will be restoring concrete sidewalks and conducting water main tie-ins on Wyoming Avenue in Audubon from Monday Oct. 16 to Friday Oct. 20 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. There will be full road closure of Wyoming Avenue between Merchant Street and Audubon Avenue.

South Jersey Gas will be continuing system improvements on Erial Road in Winslow Township from Monday Oct. 16 to Saturday Oct. 21. From Monday to Friday, work hours are between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a partial road closure westbound on Erial Road between Wilton’s Landing and Williamstown-New Freedom roads.

New Jersey American Water will be restoring roadway on Evesham Road in Voorhees from Monday Oct. 16 and Tuesday Oct. 17 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily. On Monday, there will be a partial road closure westbound on Evesham Road between Perot and Ogden avenues. On Tuesday, there will be a partial road closure westbound on Evesham Road between Preston and Alpha avenues.

 Crews will be continuing road and drainage improvements on Hillside Avenue in Haddon Heights from Monday Oct. 16 to Friday Oct. 20 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. There will be a full road closure of Hillside Avenue between South Park Avenue and Kings Highway.

 

 

 

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway and 50 bridges.  They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
