(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 143 new positive cases of COVID-19 which occurred on Thursday, November 18, bringing the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases in Camden County to 61,365 and 1,345 total fatalities.
Of the 143 new cases, 51 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected is 30 years old.

“This is the highest case count we’ve seen this week, which shows that this pandemic isn’t over,” said Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “People are still getting sick and we need to continue following the advice of experts and protecting ourselves. We know the best way to do that is to get vaccinated so please, if you haven’t already done so, get vaccinated. If you’re due for a booster, make sure you get it. To date, 422,076 Camden County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 318,146 are fully vaccinated and 64,948 have received a third dose of Moderna and or Pfizer. Data on amount of Johnson & Johnson booster shots administered was unavailable as of Wednesday. The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Delta variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
