(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) is announcing 25 new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 59 additional cases of the disease. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 37,765 in Camden County today and 1,008 total fatalities.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families as we learn of 25 additional members of our community who have succumbed to this disease,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “With cases down and vaccinations beginning, we have an opportunity to start a new phase of this crisis. If we stay focused, wear masks, and social distance, we can stop the spread of COVID-19.”
The Department of Health is announcing 59 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 2,283 confirmed resident cases and 1,300 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 37,765 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 450 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as seven staff deaths, out of our 1,008 total fatalities countywide.

The county Health Department is currently working to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.
