“It is with a heavy heart that we announce two additional deaths in our community caused by COVID-19. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “Recent reports suggest that the long-term implications of contracting coronavirus are more dire for young people than previously thought. Months-long illness and permanent damage to internal organs are possible, and we can’t know what effects will manifest in 10 or 20 years. This is why everyone, regardless of age, needs to take this seriously, do their part to stop the spread, and protect themselves.”

The Department of Health is announcing 95 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,397 confirmed resident cases and 579 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 10,013 in our 56 long-term care facilities.
