(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by South Jersey Gas that crews will be paving the intersection of Blackwood-Clementon Road and Laurel Road/College Drive in Gloucester Township overnight this weekend. The intersection will be closed while crews are active.
“This is an overnight project but motorists need to be aware of the anticipated closures and prepare to utilize the posted detour route when travelling in the area,” Shin Angulo said. “Even with overnight projects motorists need to be extra vigilant of shifting traffic patterns and sudden stops when driving through the construction area.”
Paving is scheduled to begin this weekend, but crews are prepared to take advantage of the best weather conditions possible considering the pending storms. Crews will be active from either 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday, or from 9 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. on Sunday, based on when conditions will be most favorable. Signs directing motorists along pre-planned detour routes will be posted.
This project is expected to be completed by Sunday at 5 a.m. Scheduling and project timing is also dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
