Citing
limited seating for the Oct. 7 Camden County Conference on Caring
for Aging Love Ones, Freeholder Carmen Rodriguez has urged interested
persons to register quickly by calling (800) 955 2446.
“This
is one of the toughest challenges families face in these times,
especially for baby boomers moving into their 60s who have elderly
parents who depend on them,” said Freeholder Carmen Rodriguez,
liaison to the department of health and human services, sponsor
of the event.
“We
have assembled a team of experts with answers on providing home
and respite care, housing options, health insurance counseling and
a broad spectrum of legal issues,” said Freeholder Rodriguez.
The three-hour session is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. at the
Holiday Inn Hotel, 109 9th St., Runnemede. A light dinner will be
available beginning at 5:30, with the workshop session starting
at 6:15.
One
of the key issues covered in the seminar includes the appropriate
management of personal assets for both caregivers and aging parents
as they progress through their 70s, 80s and, increasingly, beyond.
