For Immediate Release: July 14, 2008
Contacts: Andrew Levecchia (856) 751-2242
Bellmawr,
NJ – The Black Horse Pike Regional Comprehensive Economic
Development Strategy project, being managed by the Camden County
Improvement Authority, is well underway and has reached an important
milestone in the planning process. Seeking to learn more about business
owner/operator and customers’ needs, concerns, and ideas for
improvements to the Black Horse Pike region, the Steering Committee
has initiated a Business Survey. Results of the survey will help
connect the Black Horse Pike with needs of the adjoining neighborhoods
in the eight municipalities participating in this initiative. These
eight municipalities are: Audubon Borough, Audubon Park Borough,
Bellmawr Borough, Brooklawn Borough, Haddon Heights Borough, Haddon
Township, Mount Ephraim Borough, and Runnemede Borough.
The
business survey helps to advance the overall purpose of this project
which is to support local governments and businesses within the
Black Horse Pike region so they can, cooperatively, take greater
advantage of economic development opportunities within their communities.
During
July, members of the Steering Committee and consultant team will
interview business representatives to complete this survey. Customers
may complete the survey online at http://blackhorsepike.blogspot.com.
Help shape the future of the Black Horse Pike region by responding
to this survey.
Local
officials, business owners, or residents with questions regarding
the survey, or interested in attending one of the Steering Committee
meetings, may contact Andrew Levecchia at the Camden County Improvement
Authority at andrewl@camdencounty.com.
The
lead consultant is Philadelphia-based Brown & Keener. Assisting
Brown & Keener are Urban Partners and the IBI Group, also of
Philadelphia.
This project has been made possible by a Transportation and Community
Development Initiative grant from the Delaware Valley Regional Planning
Commission to the Camden County Improvement Authority.
