Contacts: Ken Shuttleworth (609) 472-8837
Freeholder
Carmen Rodriguez has invited active participation by county residents
in a survey that will help shape public policy in Camden County
with regard to providing services to the disabled.
“The
purpose of the survey, which is posted on the county’s website
www.Camdencounty.com, is to identify the needs, challenges and interests
of the disabled community,” said Mrs. Rodriguez, who is the
freeholder liaison to the Camden County Department of Health and
Human Services and its Division of Senior and Disabled Citizen Services.
“The
information we learn from the survey will help us develop a useful
plan to successfully integrate adults with permanent physical disabilities
into all aspects of life in Camden County,” she said.
The
freeholder added that, “It’s the initial step for evaluating
currently available services for disabled residents. The objective
is to establish a framework towards creating a defined agenda of
user friendly services that are accessible to all residents.”
The
freeholder said participants can access the survey not only by logging
onto the home page of www.camdencounty.com, but also by calling
the Division of Senior and Disabled Services toll-free at 800-955-2446
to receive an assessment form.
