SMITH, GEORGE J., JR.

On July 6, 2006, of Glendora. Age 81.
Husband of the late Eleanor and "Mickie". Father of Susan, Nancy, Patty, Martha and Joanne. Brother of Mildred Nixon. Also survived by many grandchildren and great-grand children.
Mr. Smith was a member of Glendora VFW Post #8714, Runnemede VFW Post #3324 and Stetser Lamartine American Legion Post #281, Chews Landing. Mr. Smith servedin the South Pacific during WWII. He received two Purple Hearts. Mr. Smith retired as Chief Petty Officer after 30 years of service in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Smith was a member of Local 322, Winslow Twp.
There will be a visitation from 1 to 2pm, Sunday afternoon at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Memorial Service 2pm at the funeral home. Interment private. Family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mr. Smith's memory to Glendora VFW Post #8714, 11th and Central Aves., Glendora, NJ 08029 or mass cards would be appreciated.
