CIPRIANI, JOSEPH F.

After a long illness, Joe died on July 24, 2006 at the age of 89 at the Underwood Memorial Hospital in Woodbury, NJ. He was born in Camden, the eldest of seven children of the late Frank and Katherine Cipriani. After graduation from Camden
High, Joseph worked for Campbell Soup Company where he met Ellen Hepworth, which eventually resulted in their marriage of 64 years, seven children, thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Joe began his long career in aircraft maintenance with a stint in the Army Air Corps during and after WWII at the Keesler Air Force Base near Biloxi, MS. He continued his service to his country for many years as a civilian technician at the Philadelphia Naval Base. To support his growing family, he also owned his own home remodeling business. Joe applied his mechanical skills often to projects for his parish church and to St. Joseph-in-the-Hills, Malvern, PA. Joe was a proud Man of Malvern retreatant for 68 straight years, including years as CA Captain of the Palm Sunday Group and a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
During his illness, Joe was comforted with the support of his loving family including his beloved wife Ellen, daughters Joel Curran and her husband Thomas, Donna Cipriani, Mary Price and her husband Calvin, Lynn Saunders and her husband Robert, and sons David Cipriani and his wife Terri, Jay Cipriani and his wife Cindy, and John Cipriani and his wife Teresa. Joseph will be remembered by his de-voted grandchildren Andrea, Peter, Christopher, James, Nicholas, Bobby, Casey, Ryan, Jacqueline, Brittany, Jonathan, Angela and Evan and his great granddaughters Aliya and Karson. He is survived by sisters Natalie Mevoli and her husband Nick, Joan Albano and her husband Al, sisters-in-law Betty Lou Cipriani Donnelly and Dolores Cipriani and brother-in-law John Fanelli. He was predeceased by his siblings Louis, Enrico, Anna and Gloria.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday Evening 5 to 9 PM and Monday, 8:30 to 9:30 AM in St. Margaret RC Church, Woodbury Heights. Funeral Mass 10 AM, Monday. Interment New St. Mary Cemetery, Bellmawr.
