PLANNING

For the past several years, Camden County has been in the process of developing regional plans for strategic locations throughout the county. The three regions that have been focused on are the Camden Hub, the Black Horse Pike and the White Horse Pike corridors. To download draft copies of the Plans, click on the Plan name below.

Camden Hub towns include the cities of Camden and Gloucester City, the townships of Cherry Hill, Haddon and Pennsauken and the boroughs of Audubon, Audubon Park, Collingswood, Haddonfield, Haddon Heights, Lawnside, Merchantville, Mount Ephraim, Oaklyn, and Woodlynne Borough.

Black Horse Pike towns include the boroughs of Audubon, Audubon Park, Bellmawr, Brooklawn, Haddon Heights, Mount Ephraim, Runnemede and Haddon Township’s West Collingswood Heights and Extension neighborhoods.

White Horse Pike towns include the boroughs of Barrington, Clementon, Hi-Nella, Laurel Springs, Lawnside, Lindenwold, Magnolia, Somerdale, Stratford and Tavistock.

Although the three regional plans follow the same format and include similar information, each of these regions has distinct characteristics and specialized issues and concerns. Unique smart growth opportunity strategies are described in the plans’ Plan Implementation Agendas that accompany the plans.

As with all planning efforts, this process would not be complete without public review and input. In August and September, Camden County Improvement Authority staff will hold public forums to discuss the plans and solicit comments and feedback on them. By releasing these plans on the World Wide Web, we desire to reach a broader representation of Camden County residents.

In addition to publishing these plans on the internet, copies of these plans are available for public review at Camden County library branches. Participating municipalities will have copies of their respective regional plans, as well. Please check with your municipal clerk for local locations.

We hope that these plans address local and regional smart growth issues. Please check this website for public forum dates and locations, where you can learn more about these plans and we can hear from you. We welcome your comments and thoughts. Please send them by email to edfox@camdencounty.com
