WE MEAN BUSINESS!

Created by the Camden County Board of Freeholders in 1979. The Camden County Improvement Authority (CCIA) is an independent, self-sustaining, public agency, which has broad powers to strengthen the region's economic base. The Authority is self sustaining through income earned on real-estate investments, financing fees, service contracts and other sources of business revenue. Operating under State statues, the Authority issues taxable and tax-exempt bonds and also serves as the economic development arm of the County at no cost to the taxpayers.

Several services are available to facilitate public and private development and redevelopment, assist employers, and help local governments reduce the costs of capital financing. Programs and services offered by the CCIA include:

  • Public and Private Financing
  • Tax-Exempt & Taxable Bond Financing
  • Economic Development Redevelopment
  • Housing Development
  • Construction Monitoring
  • Workforce Development

The CCIA issues tax-exempt debt without being bound by local government restrictions Capital development financings are structured to meet specific needs, either through Wall Street capital markets or as private placement with local lenders. Bonds and notes are sold on both a competitive and negotiated basis.
